Ctrl Creative Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Access

  • Booking Times: You are only permitted access to the studio during your booked time slot. Entry more than 15 minutes before or exit more than 15 minutes after your scheduled time will be treated as unauthorised overtime and charged at the applicable overtime rate (see Section 3).

  • Hirer Responsibility: The hirer is responsible for their group and any visitors to the studio during their booking.

 

2. Use of Studio Space

  • Self-Service Bookings: The studio operates on a self-service basis and a basic knowledge of studio use is required. Assistance is available via the studio mobile. If unsure about equipment, please ask before use. The hirer is fully liable for damage caused by improper operation.

  • Studio Reset: The studio must be returned to its original condition, including putting away equipment, removing excess rubbish, and leaving the space tidy. A £25 reset fee will apply if the studio is not left in good condition. Persistent failure to reset may result in refusal of future bookings.

  • Damage & Misuse: Any misuse or damage to equipment, the cove, or backdrops due to negligence or lack of experience will be charged in full to the hirer.

  • Cove & Backdrops:

-       Shoe covers (provided on site) must be worn when using the cove or backdrops.

-       Damage to paper backdrops (e.g., footprints, dirt, tears) will incur a £10 per metre usage charge.

-       Any damage to the cove will incur a repair charge, amount confirmed following assessment. Hirers must not attempt to repair or repaint the cove themselves.

 

3. Overtime & Late Exit

  • Authorised Overtime: Must be arranged in advance by contacting the studio mobile. Charged at the hourly rate, rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes.

  • Unauthorised Overtime / Late Exit: Staying beyond your booking without agreement will be charged at 1.5x the hourly rate, rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes.

  • Reset Time: A complimentary 15 minutes is included within your booking for tidying/resetting. Failure to vacate within this time that delays the next hirer may incur a £25 penalty.

 

4. Payment, Insurance & Liability

  • Payment: Full payment is required to confirm your booking. No booking is guaranteed until payment has cleared.

  • Insurance: Hirers are strongly advised to hold Public Liability Insurance covering themselves, their crew, and their clients.

  • Loss, Theft & Damage: Ctrl Creative is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property brought into the studio.

  • Liability: Ctrl Creative accepts no liability for injuries, accidents, or damages arising from activities undertaken by the hirer or their clients.

  • Risk Assessment: The hirer must conduct a walk-around risk assessment of the space before beginning work.

  • Indemnity: By booking, the hirer agrees to indemnify Ctrl Creative against any claims made by third parties arising from their use of the studio.

 

5. Code of Conduct

  • Be respectful of our space, equipment, and other bookings.

  • Noise levels must be kept at a reasonable level.

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or discriminatory behaviour, or disregard for staff instructions, may result in immediate termination of your booking without refund.

  • Ctrl Creative is an inclusive company. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind.

 

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Client Cancellations:

  • 72+ hours’ notice: Full refund.

  • 48–24 hours’ notice: 50% refund of the total booking cost.

  • Within 24 hours: No refund is available, as it is unlikely we can re-book the studio at such short notice.

Studio Cancellations: Ctrl Creative reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. An alternative time or full refund will be offered.

Agreement

By making a booking, the hirer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the above terms and conditions.
